Pine Needle Basket Workshops

Join a Park Ranger at Lee State Park (exit 123 I-20) and learn how to make a basket out of longleaf pine needles. Participants will first learn how to collect and clean pine needles. Participants will then begin making a basket and will be able to take supplies to continue working on their baskets at home if they do not finish in class. Appropriate for ages 13 and up. Cost includes project materials. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. The workshop will be offered August 12, September 9, and November 11. The deadline to register is two days before the workshop.
